Overview
About the programme
The Doctor of Engineering at Cardiff Metropolitan University enables practitioners to reflect on how their own practice and that of their peers should change (adapt) so that their engineering solutions (new and existing) can be more efficient, effective, resilient and sustainable in order to meet the needs of the present without compromising the needs of future generations.
Projects could focus on significant change to buildings, their components, materials, controls and systems; products, their design, manufacturing processes and supply chains; resources such as energy, renewable energy or water use minimisation and recycling.
The focus for a change in practice or organisational change, or both is flexible and broadly covers one of three types, to include: proposing, implementing, and evaluating change within the professional context; evaluating change that is already happening within the professional context; or gaining a better understanding of the professional context to propose change.

- Taught Master's Modules
