Overview
About the program
Our multidisciplinary approach in this Architectural Engineering and Technology program at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) addresses the materialisation and structure of buildings and building components, environmental and climate design, and aspects of value, comfort, computational methods and technologies.
We aim to create the next generation of open-minded problem-solvers and innovators in the architectural engineering domain. We do this through our four major themes.
- Firstly, a sustainable built environment for new and existing buildings, addressing climate adaptation and resilience, renewables-based energy, innovative building materials, heritage and nature inclusion.
- Additionally, the transition towards a circular built environment with circular building products, and safer, healthier and more comfortable buildings and cities.
- Finally, digitalisation as an enabler for decision-making in all built-environment processes, including supporting data, information and knowledge during all phases of design, manufacturing, construction, use and end-of-life.
