Overview
The Agronomy, Forestry, Water and Environmental Sciences and Engineering programme offered by AgroParisTech - Institut des Sciences et Industries du Vivant et de l'Environnement develops expertise across three main areas: the design of sustainable and resilient agricultural and forestry systems based on agroecological principles; efficient management of natural resources through protection, recycling, and optimization of inputs and waste; and the planning of sustainable rural, suburban, and urban landscapes.
Key Facts
These areas respond to challenges such as climate change, biodiversity preservation, water and soil protection, and the need for resource-efficient systems with reduced environmental impact.
Its activities are structured around four main engineering approaches: territorial engineering, agroecological engineering, forest engineering, and environmental engineering. The programme is supported by extensive partnerships with joint research units and academic institutions across multiple locations, contributing to research and education in agronomy, forestry, water sciences, and environmental systems. It is actively involved in engineering, master’s, and specialized programmes, coordinating and contributing to numerous majors, interdisciplinary modules, and international collaborations across campuses and partner universities.
