Overview

The Pediatrics candidates at Comenius University Bratislava learn to formulate scientific problems and hypothesis, prepare and conduct scientific experiments, apply innovative laboratory techniques in research, objectively assess collected data and to statistically analyse them.

The main goal of these activities is the acquisition of theoretical and practical competencies for the research of particular clinical and scientific problems in the area of childhood diseases.

Graduates are sought at the healthcare workplaces (clinics or departments of paediatrics and academic paediatric clinics such as the Department of Paediatrics NÚDCH, Department of Oncology NÚDCH, Department of Cardiology NÚSCH and others. Graduates from the doctoral studies may find employment in the frame of education as university teachers or scientific research workers at universities focused on medicine, healthcare science, public healthcare and paediatrics.
