General requirements
Prospective candidates must hold a Master's Degree with a good pass from an approved university. The degree should be in an area relevant to the candidate's proposed research focus in maritime studies. Additionally, other equivalent qualifications, subject to approval by the Senate, are accepted, ensuring a diverse and qualified cohort for UMT's Maritime Studies Interdisciplinary Ph.D. program.
