Overview
About the programme
The Doctoral School accomplishes its goals through high-quality education delivered in cooperation with faculties of the University of Silesia in Katowice and providing administrative support for doctoral students, as well as support regarding their research activity.
The most significant aspects of such support are:
- selecting an experienced supervisor well prepared to work with a doctoral candidate
- organizing international cooperation
- helping doctoral students to obtain funding for their research and mobility
- organizing various forms of activity, such as summer school, open lectures, and scientific conferences
- the activity aimed at the popularization of science, especially creating publicity for research conducted by doctoral students
Programme Structure
Disciplines are divided into three large fields, integrating several areas of science:
- humanities, theology and arts
- social sciences
- exact and natural sciences
- engineering and technology
