Overview
Jointly offered by the School of Medicine and the School of Sciences, the PhD in Cancer Biology and Clinical Oncology trains candidates to become independent scholars and researchers in biomedical sciences, contributing to progress in the prevention, detection and treatment of cancer.
At the core of this Cancer Biology and Clinical Oncology program, students receive training in Cancer Biology, Clinical Oncology, Biostatistics and Research Methodology.
Through taught courses from European University Cyprus (EUC) and intensive research work, students explore the molecular etiology and clinical presentation of different human cancers.
Research Opportunity
Students will develop independent practical laboratory and clinical skills using the most up-to-date equipment and techniques and be encouraged to problem-solve and innovate to address important biological and medical questions.
Graduates will be able to use their strong scientific background for continued research and expertise in educational institutions, research labs, diagnostic centers and biotech and pharmaceutical industries.
