About the program

This Distributed Multilateral Trust Model for 5G-6G Networks program from Deakin University is a doctoral cotutelle project between Deakin University (Australia) and Coventry University (United Kingdom).The successful PhD Student will be awarded a scholarship from Deakin University with the supervision team being drawn from Deakin University and Coventry University. The PhD Student will graduate with two testamurs, one from Deakin University and one from Coventry University, each of which recognises that the program was carried out as part of a jointly supervised doctoral program

Programme Structure

The topic addressed in this research is a distributed multilateral trust model for 5G/6G networks. Trustworthiness will be one of the core elements of these networks, and thus the 5G/6G network architecture must have in-built end-to-end trustworthiness to enhance their resilience, safety, and reliability to potential cyber-attacks.
Furthermore, since we will need to put far more trust in the network than we do today, solving the challenge of trust will be one of the keys unlocking the full value potential of 5G/6G networks in supporting many emerging sectors e.g., connected and autonomous vehicles (CAVs).

Completion of research project in a related area including a thesis which is equivalent to at least 25% of a year’s full-time study at level 8 or 9 of the Australian Qualifications Framework with achievement of a grade for the project equivalent to a Deakin grade of 70% or equivalent.
