About the program

The doctoral school provides: registration of doctoral applications according to the existing regulations, review of doctoral projects, enrollment, administrative support during the doctoral studies, review of doctoral dissertations and PhD defense procedures.

The KIU Doctoral Standard applies to all accredited international doctoral programs. The doctoral school is also in charge of implementing legal procedures necessary for the implementation of the doctoral project.

General requirements

English language proficiency (minimum B2 level);
The applicant had not been awarded the degree offered by the Doctoral Program previously;
The applicant had not irrevocably failed previous Doctoral Program for the same Degree or for the same Dissertation at KIU or another university;
The diploma confirming the previous level of education issued to the applicant by a foreign university (outside Georgia) must be recognized through The National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement of Georgia.
