This Forensic Psychology Practice (CPD Route) degree offered by the University of Birmingham requires students to attend nine days of taught classes, aimed at developing advanced research skills.

Career opportunities

Graduates of the CPD Forensic Doctorate are already registered Forensic Psychologists and typically hold positions within His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS), the NHS, or private practice.

Completion of the doctorate has supported many to progress into more senior or specialist roles, take on leadership responsibilities, or become involved in research and service development within their settings. Some graduates have also gone on to combine academic work with their practitioner roles, contributing to teaching and research in forensic psychology.
