Overview
At the end of the Clinical Psychology programme from University of Nottingham, you'll be confident in using research methods to answer clinical questions, have organisational and service evaluation skills and be aware of priority groups within the NHS.
How will you learn?
In each of the three years of the programme, students will learn through direct teaching events and independent -study. Teaching is typically delivered in-person and all core teaching is mandatory. Selected teaching events will be delivered online. In each year, students will attend teaching at both universities. Independent -study supports all modules and will involve an element of group -work.
How will you be assessed?
Learning will be assessed in a variety of ways. Academic modules will be assessed through the submission of written case reports; oral presentations; and essay-style writing. Clinical proficiency will be assessed through a portfolio of proficiency that is designed to support students' work in clinical placement. In the portfolio, students will describe and reflect on their clinical work as evidence of developing competence. Learning on the research pathway is assessed through submission of independent research efforts, culminating in a thesis submission and viva voce examination.
