General requirements

The Department of Public Health provides higher education of the I., II. and III. levels in the Public Health study program. The Bachelor's degree (Bc) lasts 3 years; Practical training represents 3 months of professional practice. The Master's degree (Mgr.) lasts 2 years and includes theoretical training. The Doctoral degree (PhD.) usually lasts 4 years and can be completed in Slovak, German and English. The Department of Public Health also provides the possibility of conducting a rigorous examination in the field of Public Health in Slovak, German and English, in which the graduate receives the title of PhDr.
