Overview
Graduates of the Mineral Extraction and Engineering Geotechnologies programme from The Technical University of Kosice (TUKE) know how to use scientific and research methods that can be used to describe rock massifs, the geotechnical stability of the underground space, but also the course of technological processes and systems in the extraction and acquisition of raw materials, as well as environmental processes or their impact by mining. In the doctoral study programme, graduates in the individual form of study are profiled for scientific and research work from those applicable in the field of technical and engineering use of the underground.
Learning outcomes
The qualification of the third level of higher education in the study programme Mineral extraction and engineering geotechnologies, confirmed by a university diploma and socially honored by an academic title, is awarded to students who:
- They have demonstrated a systematic understanding of the field of study Acquisition and processing of earth resources, the study programme Mineral extraction and engineering geotechnologies and have mastered the skills and methods of scientific research associated with the given field corresponding to the current state of knowledge in the field.
- They have demonstrated the ability to conceive, construct, implement and edit a substantial part of the research with scientific integrity.
- Contributed original research to expanding the boundaries of scientific knowledge through the realization of an extensive set of works, some of which are worthy of peer-reviewed publication at the national or international level.
- They are capable of critical analysis, evaluation and synthesis of new and complex concepts.
- I can communicate my area of expertise with colleagues, the wider scientific community and the lay public.
- They are able to support technical, social or cultural progress in a knowledge-based society in an academic and professional context.
