Overview
The Mining Surveying and Geodesy programme from The Technical University of Kosice (TUKE) masters the scientific methods of research and development in mining metrology and geodesy with orientation, e.g. for the development of terrestrial, photogrammetric, satellite, astronomical and other space measurement technologies and instruments, special measurement works in mining and construction with regard to underground construction, development and creation of cartographic works, creation of 3D coordinate systems, application of scientific outputs in mining metrology and geodesy to GIS of local and global nature, solution of measurement tasks.
Learning outcomes
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of broader contexts in the field of study Acquisition and processing of earth resources, in the study programme Mining Surveying and Geodesy, which follow on from the knowledge acquired during the study of the engineering study programme Engineering Geodesy and Real Estate Cadastre.
- The doctoral student will learn to characterize and understand physical phenomena and experimental knowledge about these phenomena, to search for adequate models and new applications in specified disciplines, in science, research and practice in the field of technical and natural science disciplines, in the field of engineering geodesy, mining metrology, deformation analysis , photogrammetry, geodetic networks, geographic information systems, global geodesy and geodynamics, cartography, real estate cadastre, industrial impacts and ecology and from the field of processing and analysis of measurements and apply them in solving scientific tasks in the field of study Acquisition and processing of earth resources, in the Mining study programme metrology and geodesy.
- Doctoral studies will enable the doctoral student to acquire comprehensive theoretical knowledge and practical experience and to master the methodologies of scientific work, and will prepare him for independent scientific work in the areas of calculation of constructions in the whole range of activities.
