Overview

Graduates of the Spatial and Regional Economics programme from The Technical University of Kosice (TUKE) have the prerequisites to assess and solve complex theoretical and practical problems at individual management levels of the public sector and are able to creatively apply new knowledge in pedagogical, economic and social practice.

Learning objectives

The educational programme is designed with the goal of:

to become familiar with the existing research related to the dissertation topic - both theoretical and empirical literature;

to acquire the ability to clearly identify gaps in existing research and to place one's own contribution in the context of existing research;

to evaluate the own contribution of the dissertation to science and practice as well as its implications for society;

to master the application of scientific methods to solve a research problem;

to acquire the advanced analytical skills necessary for research activity;

to apply a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approach combining expertise in economics and other social sciences.
