Overview
With the Cyber Diplomacy programme offered by University of East London, you’ll build expertise and knowledge in advanced areas of cyber diplomacy, cross- cultural theory, and research in applied cyber defence management. Develop leadership skills to guide and mentor others in cyber diplomacy demonstrate an understanding of confidence building measures as well as the sociopolitical complexities and legal challenges stemming from issues of attribution, accountability, and sovereignty.
You’ll also facilitate advanced understanding of data, intelligence and decision making in cyberspace. In addition to enhancing your capacity to apply current research in applied diplomat management to aspects of your work.
Careers
This programme uniquely qualifies students in a world in which more countries are acquiring offensive cyber capabilities, and cyber diplomacy to prevent escalation or wrongful attribution of cyberattacks. It enables existing employed diplomats or those aiming to pursue a career in diplomacy to move into a wide variety of roles and careers as cyber diplomats in government or industry.

General requirements
- A 2.1 Honours in Computer Science, Businesses, Politics, Economics (or an equivalent degree) from a recognised UK HE institution.
- Exceptionally, applicants without first degrees but who have significant, relevant work experience will be considered for entry. All such applicants will be subject to an interview.
- Overall IELTS 6.0 with minimum 6.0 in writing and speaking, and 5.5 in listening and reading(or recognised equivalent).
