Overview

Geosciences from Nazarbayev University is focused on creating research experts in Petroleum and Mineral Exploration and Development, Environmental Geosciences, and Emerging Energy Transition Geosciences. The program focuses on the enhancement of science knowledge through advanced courses and the development of research skills. By the completion of the PhD program, graduates will be capable of designing and conducting independent, innovative, original, interdisciplinary, and high-quality research related to a variety of topics in Energy and Mineral Exploration and Development, Environmental Geosciences, and Geoscience Solutions for decarbonization. The program graduates will be prepared for working in industrial and academic environments, including positions of university faculty members, senior researchers, and scientists.
