The UPC has more than two hundred teachers and researchers doing research in mathematics and its applications in engineering. Thanks to the activity of this group, the production in mathematics at the UPC stands out nationally as well as internationally. This enormous research potential is accompanied naturally by an important training capacity, and that is why the UPC has become a reference for graduates and engineers from Spain and other countries who are interested in starting a career research in mathematics and its applications.

This is an interdisciplinary program in the broadest sense of the word. It comprehends the theoretical aspects of mathematics as well as those arising from the resolution of technical issues. It offers the opportunity to work with some of the UPC research groups in mathematics and its applications.
