Welcome to the Division of University Housing at UW-Madison! Whether you are an undergraduate student in our residence halls, a PhD candidate in our apartment communities, a hungry customer in our dining markets, a summer program attendee, an employee, or a proud parent, University Housing provides an experience that is built for your success. We are here to serve you and to support the mission of the University.
The UW-Madison Libraries’ online collection (MadCat) offers a vast array of resources — from historical documents to current publications. Many of these items are available to alumni and the general public.
The people who provide IT services at UW‑Madison are working every hour of every day to help support the Wisconsin Idea so that the university can help improve people’s lives beyond the classroom.
With two convenient clinic locations, our providers address concerns relating to colds, the flu, injuries, stress, and gynecologic care as well provide health consultations for international travel and trans health care services. Medical services also provides occupational medicine services to campus research facilities. Most medical services are free of charge.
With more than 44,000 students representing 50 states and 127 countries, our community is diverse, energetic, and constantly in motion. Whether you're competing or cheering from the stands, you will quickly find that every year is a good year to be a Badger! Watch your favorite teams compete at Camp Randall Stadium, the Field House, the Kohl Center, and the Porter Boathouse. Game days add an energy to campus and downtown, as students and the community come out to support our athletics. Last year, over 1.3 million Badger fans watched their favorite teams play.
Your student ID card gets you free access to our indoor recreational facilities, two swimming pools, and 63 acres of outdoor recreational fields. You can choose from more than 100 group fitness classes per week or become a member of one of over 40 sport clubs.
Wisconsin International Students Association (WISA) was established in Summer 2003. Our primary mission has always been to promote and improve the awareness of global culture to the students in University of Wisconsin-Madison as well as the community around Madison.
The University of Wisconsin–Madison has been continuously accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) since 1913.Every ten years HLC conducts a comprehensive review of the university to reaffirm accreditation.
UW–Madison’s last comprehensive review site visit was March 25–26, 2019. In June 2019, UW-Madison received notice of reaffirmation of accreditation, with the next comprehensive review scheduled for 2028-29.
