University of Agriculture in Krakow derives its experience from intellectual heritage and tradition of the Jagiellonian University. At this very University agronomical and forestry sciences developed since 1890 and young people were educated with particular regard to their patriotic upbringing.
Due to such defined graduate profile the University constantly modifies and updates its curricula at the same time extending the scope of biological subjects and humanities. The core of these changes should be programmes constructed to enable not only teaching but also stimulating creative thinking in students. Diversification of study programmes may be a chance to reach this objective. However, it requires a new outlook on the role of an academic teacher who should become more a moderator and guide in the teaching process using modern teaching methods.
Research constitutes an inseparable part of the University activities. Two main areas may be distinguished, i.e. research projects realised as grants and the European Union programmes where the objectives are determined the author of a project or by contracting agency. The other comprises projects implemented as the statutory activities. These projects should be strictly connected with a widely understood didactic process and support it.

Overall, I found the Medicinal Plant Technology program to be quite interesting. The curriculum touches upon many fascinating aspects of plant science and their potential health benefits. However, I felt that the program placed a slightly disproportionate emphasis on agricultural subjects compared to those specifically focused on herbalism and medicinal plants. While the agricultural aspects are undoubtedly important for cultivation, I would have appreciated a greater depth and breadth in the areas directly related to the therapeutic properties and applications of these plants. The quality of the teaching staff was also somewhat uneven. While I had the pleasure of learning from some truly excellent and engaging lecturers who clearly demonstrated a passion for their subjects, there were others whose delivery and enthusiasm were less inspiring.
I like the university. Very interesting subjects, nice teachers :) many new things, but very long pairs :)) at 2:15 and we have a lot of activities. One day they studied from 9:15 am to 8:45 pm, but today from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. We study 4 days a week, sometimes 5. There are pairs in the form of lectures, and pairs when we draw or create collections.
My study in tertiary education was very interesting. From my school, that is school of agriculture, you have to read all courses in the school before you can major in one course in final year. But first you'd major in L300 before choosing gone in final year. Most students found it hard to adjust to the reality in the school. I tried my possible best to follow the school's requirement and I enjoyed it a
