Roosevelt is an independent, non-profit university that today is among the most diverse institutions of higher education in the country.

Research
The Policy Research Collaborative is an interdisciplinary, applied research and technical assistance center at Roosevelt University working with community partners to address social inequities and strengthen communities through transformative policy research and advocacy.
Career
The Office of Career Development educates students, alumni, faculty, staff and employers about the career development and job search process. Staff support, engage, and counsel students in career and major exploration, and partners with employers for on-campus interviewing and information sessions.

Sports facilities
There was a time when competing at a high level in multiple sports was the norm. Jim Thorpe played almost everything, Bo Jackson knew football and baseball and Deion Sanders competed in prime time on the gridiron and the diamond.Today specialization rules the day, as young athletes are often interested or steered toward committing to just one sport. However, in Roosevelt Athletics, there is a culture that embraces, rather than shuns, multi-sport student-athletes.

There are many active student organizations at Roosevelt University, which provide co-curricular opportunities to enhance your collegiate experience. You will meet other students, network with professionals, and have access to programs which can improve your leadership skills.

Professors Offer Genuine Guidance
I definitely felt very supported during my time here. I was able to reach out to professors in my class and other professors in the department for guidance after my time here. They were generally responsive and genuinely seemed willing to help students feel supported academically and career-wise.
A Students Take on University College Roosevelt
University College Roosevelt is a small Liberal Arts and Sciences University, hosting slightly under 600 students. It is located in the quaint Dutch town of Middelburg, roughly 2 hours south of Amsterdam. This university has been wonderful in the realms of forming a community with fellow students and connecting with professors. I feel highly welcomed at the school which has helped motivate my academic pursuits. Additionally, there are many activities and events to engage in separate from academics, which allows for some breaths of fresh air outside of classes and homework. On the other hand, this university compresses a high workload into the 15-week semesters. It can feel overwhelming to stay on top of all of the assignments, while simultaneously balancing personal life relations and pursuits. Overall, I would say that my study experience thus far has been a whirlwind in the best way-- full of kind people, engaging classes, and many opportunities.
