PSE was born in December 2006, following a careful restructuring of French research in the economic and social sciences. It was one of the first 13 “Fondations de Coopération Scientifiques” (Scientific Research Foundations) of the RTRA programme.
It brings together a community of 140 researchers and around 200 PhD students, and offers teaching in Masters, PhD, Summer School and Executive Education programs at the cutting edge of the discipline.
Scientists are attached to the different research units which make up the Paris School of Economics:
Housing in Paris is not cheap: the city is rather expensive, and PSE does not provide student housing. Nevertheless, there are several organizations that provide student housing assistance. You can also improve your chances of finding housing by contacting your embassy, consulates, and all kinds of social networks or religious circles.
PSE Alumni was created in the end of 2010. This association aims to create a professional network between Paris School of Economics’ former master and PhD students. The main goals are the continuous effort to get back in touch with older generations, the production of the Alumni directory, the centralization of jobs offers to spread within the network.
PPD is co-accredited by the EHESS, the ENS-PSL and the École des Ponts ParisTech; it is co-financed by the IRD, the CEPREMAP and the PSE.
