Founded in 1880, Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME) in Budapest is one of Hungary's oldest art schools. Initially focused on crafts and design, it evolved into a hub for modern art, design, and innovation. Renamed in 2006 after Bauhaus artist László Moholy-Nagy, MOME blends tradition with cutting-edge education, fostering creativity and sustainability in the heart of Europe.
Its educational structure comprises architecture, design, media, as well as theory. Therefore, MOME has a great international potential considering its broad field of education and synthesis of students. The three-cycle study structure (BA/MA/DLA) provides adequate flexibility and mobility for its students. MOME’s definite ambition is to further broaden its international relations. It welcomes every professional co-operation which inspires its educational and artistic work. MOME on the one hand is a university which educates professional designers, and on the other hand an intellectual workshop with the aim of setting up creative process in order to enhance design consciousness in Hungary.

The MOME Student Hub is an organisational unit responsible for two major areas: student services and alumni relations.
MOME’s residence hall is located in IBS Office Center next to Hűvösvölgyi út in a quiet, leafy neighbourhood. It is readily accessible by trams 59 and 61, as well as bus 29, and is a five-minute walk from the grocery. There are altogether 87 double rooms, each with a private bathroom, balcony, and a small fridge. Each of the five floors in the residence hall building has a shared kitchen and laundry room.
As a public library, in addition to helping educational and research work, our aim is to provide anyone interested in art with general information. Our library - along with the library of the Hungarian Design Museum – is the most important collection of the country's technical literature in the area of applied arts.

During the design tasks, we cover the whole design process. We not only design the product, but also build it, so we get to know the whole process. During the courses, we consult with nationally acclaimed designers who are experts in the field.
Personally, it was a difficult time to adjust to a new school with a different educational system (I got my bachelor's degree at METU) perhaps this is why I struggle with my ongoing project that we suppose to improve throughout the whole 2-year program. For me, it takes a lot of time to open up to my teachers let along about my visions. I was closed off and insecure therefore the communication, critics, and feedback weren't helpful at all. I thought that I could rely on them just a little bit more to explore my abilities in visual communication. My prior goal is to be able to improve and learn in a professional environment where the teachers are guiding me and we can create a safe place to share our ideas.
The university concentrates on the acting development. The ups and downs are usual for any field, but my experience prepared me for life, not just for the acting field. The two years were about growing as an artist as well as a person.
