Education

At Albany Med,basic research scientists are organized into four departments facilitating discoveries that translate into medical innovations at patients' bedsides.The four departments are:

The Albany Medical College Academic & Student Affairs Office prides itself on providing a pleasant atmosphere where students can feel comfortable and confident in seeking assistance. Medical services
Student Health Services serves students of Albany Medical College, Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and SUNY Polytechnic. Care is provided for a wide range of issues including general medical evaluation for acute problems such as fevers, respiratory illnesses, stomach pains, sprains and strains, skin rashes, minor emergencies

Albany Medical Center (consisting of Albany Medical Center Hospital and Albany Medical College) is proud to offer a campus that is safe and accessible for all students, faculty, staff and visitors. Commitment to safety is our highest priority, and helping to support this effort is Albany Medical Center’s Security Services —a dedicated team of highly trained security officers who are ready and able to respond to emergencies 24-hours a day, seven days a week
Student clubs
Chapters of the American Medical Student Association (AMSA), American Medical Women's Association (AMWA), Student National Medical Association (SNMA) and the American Medical Association/Medical Student Section of New York (AMA/MSSNY) are active on campus
