About

History

North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University is an 1890 land-grant doctoral research university dedicated to learning, discovery, and community engagement. The University provides a wide range of educational opportunities from bachelor’s to doctoral degrees in both traditional and online environments. 

Education

Research

Our land-grant heritage positions us well for today’s great research challenges – nanotechnology and biotechnology … energy and the environment … and many more.  Our work extends beyond our traditional disciplines of engineering and agriculture, into areas including biomedical research, leadership development, and the social and behavioral sciences.

The mission of the Office of Career Services (OCS) is to provide centralized, comprehensive, and progressive interdisciplinary programs, services, and resources to prepare A&T undergraduates, graduate students, and alumni for the achievement of personal, professional, and career development that meet the needs of a global society.

The Office of Student Success is available in the College of Science and Technology to support you as students in your quest to be successful in your academics and career preparation, whether you are a current or prospective student.  We believe you can maintain a good overall GPA and graduate in four years by being diligent and informed.  Please use the following information to help guide you during your University experience here or to get more information about us.

Housing services

Housing and Residence Life (HRL) desires to stimulate and challenge residents to fulfill their educational goals and ambitions through quality education, social, and cultural programs that promote community within residence halls. Our goal is to build a foundation of service, scholarship, and leadership as both undergraduate and graduate students of the university embracing their campus living experience.

Medical services

The mission of the Student Health Center is to provide high quality health care services to the students of North Carolina A&T State University.  Ultimately, our care should help to maintain and improve the physical and mental health of our students.  

Student Life

Campus life

Our campus is spread over 188 beautiful acres, just nine blocks from downtown Greensboro and in the heart of the Piedmont Triad—home to an eclectic mix of industries, entertainment, and other universities, and right between North Carolina's majestic mountains and coastal beaches.

Sports facilities

We encourage all our students to develop themselves in mind, body, and spirit. The Aggies compete in NCAA Division I athletics, but there are opportunities for everyone to participate in sports, fitness, and recreational activities at all levels.

Student clubs

The Council of Presidents (COP) serves as the umbrella group to all registered student organizations on the campus of North Carolina A&T State University. Their purpose is to assist, advocate, govern, and serve as a liaison between the university and these group. The membership is made up of the presidents and/or the vice presidents for each respective organization. With more than 120 student organization that fall under the listed groupings below, our campus offers numerous opportunities for students to be engaged or discover their leadership capabilities.
