History
Acupuncture and Massage College was originally founded in 1983 as the Acupuncture-Acupressure Institute (AIA), as was the first acupuncture school in Florida.
Education
All our programs are taught in an integrative manner, which combines Western Science with Traditional Chinese Medicine. In fact, many of our professors hold advanced degrees in both Conventional Medicine and Oriental Medicine.
We do this through our 3 different programs of study:
- Master of Oriental Medicine - Get the skills to become an Acupuncture Physician! Our acupuncture school in Florida offers an Oriental Medicine program that can be completed in 3-years and confers a Master's degree.
- Diploma in Massage Therapy - Get the skills to become a massage therapist! Our massage school in Miami, FL offers a massage therapy certification can be completed in as little as 9-months.
- Associate of Arts in Health Science
Career
Our graduates will:
- Be prepared to become entry level Massage Therapists with a specialty in Shiatsu.
- Be prepared to become entry level Massage Therapists with a specialty in Shiatsu.
- Be prepared to become entry level Oriental Medicine Practitioners.

Housing services
Students from out-of-town who are seeking housing are assisted by the Admissions Director and given a list of rental agencies in the area. If they choose, they may post housing requests on the student bulletin board, found in the student lounge. While most students are residents of Southeast Florida, we encourage a close relationship among all students. There are several formal and informal events planned throughout the year to help students bond with one another and develop lasting friendships. Acupuncture and Massage College is accessible by Metrorail and bus service.
Library services
The Lao Tsu Library at Acupuncture and Massage College continuously strives to improve our material selection, and we have an unrivaled collection of Chinese Medical textbooks, making us the best college library of any acupuncture school in Florida.
ICT services
The AMC Library is equipped with three computer workstations for students with high speed internet access and printing capabilities. Students may print from computer workstations for 10¢ per page.

The campus and our massage and acupuncture treatment clinic is located at 10506 North Kendall Drive, Miami, Florida 33176.
Accreditation
The college is licensed by the State of Florida's Commision for Independent Education and is accredited as a degree-granting institution by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) and by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM). We have been training acupuncturists and massage therapists for over thirty years, and our graduates can be found at many of South Florida's leading clinics.
