The establishment of the Lodz University of Technology is strictly associated with the history and development of the industrial Lodz. Thanks to incredibly fast development of textile industry in the second half of the 19thcentury Lodz became the second largest city in the area of Poland.

Lodz University of Technology administers nine halls of residence, only five to ten minutes from all faculties. The University cannot guarantee placement in the university dormitory because the accommodation possibilities are very limited. But international students should notify in advance the International Office of their intention to live in the halls of residence.
As foreign books are relatively expensive in Poland, you can always go to the University library to pursue your studies. Library books may be borrowed from the University libraries. Any registered student (with the special ID card) may use institute, faculty and main library. Photocopying machines are widely available at the University, in libraries and in many other places in the city.
The Public Health Services cover a wide range of medical specialities and dental services.Medical care that is provided by the Public Health Services is free of charge for those who have a valid insurance policy (insured in the National Health Fund – Narodowy Fundusz Zdrowia NFZ).
The university covers the area of about 30 hectares and is located in a few dozen buildings. Besides new structures built in the recent years the Lodz Univeristy of Technology adapted and revitalized a few historic 19th century villas and factory buildings, adjusting them to its needs.
All students are obliged to attend sports and recreation courses. Beside general fitness courses, like callanetics and aerobics, the students can choose among the following sections: volleyball, basketball, judo, football, handball, athletics, badminton, tennis, table tennis, ice-skating, taekwondo, rock-climbing, yoga and body-building, squash.
The main task is to represent interest of students on Technical University of Lodz. In that scope, the Council of Students Self-Government on TUL (as a democratically elected representative of students) is closely cooperating with the University authorities and the Administration of TUL settlements in all matters relating to students of Technical University of Lodz. In practice it may be said that Students’ Self-Government acts as students’ trade union and students’ culture maker.

Everyone is friendly and willing to help if it's needed. The academic staff is pretty good. There is a one drawback - there are poor food options available on campus. But you can go to Zabka (the best polish shop) which is near.
I would recommend my university because of the high level of teaching and experienced staff. The university offers many opportunities for development, including exchange programs and scientific groups. Additionally, the university supports students through internship programs and numerous student organizations.
It's to early for me to review this course, although I expect to get a job after it. Very new.
