History
The history of the Silesian University in Opava (Slezská univerzita v Opavě) is actually quite short. It was established by a law passed by the Czech National Council on July 9, 1991. However, for more than one hundred years, Opava‘s cultural representatives had proposed the creation of an institution of the university type, applying in 1870, 1945 and 1968.
Education
The Silesian University in Opava has three faculties – the Faculty of Philosophy and Science in Opava, the School of Business Administration in Karvina, the Faculty of Public Policies in Opava – and the Institute of Mathematics in Opava.

Best university in karvina
Absolutely Great university for studies in economics and management
Smaller university
I like that my university is one of the smaller ones, so the teachers can devote more time to the students. On the other hand, this is sometimes bad because for example, the school does not have the most modern equipment, many computers, etc.
