History

The École normale de l'enseignement technique (ENET) was founded by decree in 1912. It became the École normale supérieure de Cachan in 1985 and finally the École normale supérieure Paris-Saclay in 2016.

Education

ENS Paris-Saclay's 12 academic departments cover a wide range of disciplines in science, engineering and the social sciences. The School's educational strategy is based on very strong interaction between teaching and research.

The School has a significant ranking in terms of quality of its research, for the supervision of ENS students and the level at which its industrial collaborations perform.

The ENS Paris-Saclay libraries contribute to the School' teaching and research activities. A library and documentation committee meets at least once a year to advise upon library policy.

Campus life

The campus is well equipped with facilities that enhance daily life for students and staff: university restaurants, housing areas, a resource centre and sports facilities (gymnasium, tennis courts, sports fields, etc.).Students can take part in many sports and leisure activities run by the Student Office (BDE), Sports Offices (BDS) or the Arts Office (BDA).

Sporting activities, events and facilities are at disposal on ENS Paris-Saclay campus. A student association, Bureau des Sports (BDS), manages different aspects of the sporting life for students.
