Programmes within Quality Management at the Faculty for Organisation Studies in Novo mesto are based on the fundamentals of new organizational paradigms that are identifiable as results-oriented, centred towards consumers, leadership and consistency in its purpose, management of processes and facts, integration of employees, consistent improvements and innovativeness, mutual beneficial partnerships and an ever increasing social responsibility towards organizations.
At FOS we offer many out of class events. Since the establishment of FOS, we have been the co-organizers of the Forum of Excellence and Mastery Otočec. We also organize the yearly conference Governance in (post)transition and New Paradigms of Organization Theories. We are also co-organizers of monthly academic evenings and together with our students we organize the student tribunes.

Novo mesto is the center of the region and in addition todiverse educational possibilities, Novo mesto also offers numerous activities and events that contribute towards students' quality of life. The Student Association of Novo mesto together with other institutions (LokalPatriot, Goga, Park and Situla) have organized Cvičkarija, Coming Home to Novo mesto, Park league, Rock Otočec and other numerous projects and festivals for the past two decades. In addition, the Culture Centre of Janez Trdina, Anton Podbevšek Theatre, Simulaker Gallery and the Dolenjska Museum are other cultural focal points.
