Beijing Language & Culture University (BLCU)

Beijing Language and Culture University started as the Higher Preparatory School for Foreign Students in 1962, created to train foreign learners in Chinese language and culture. Over time it evolved into a full university dedicated to international language education and cultural exchange. Through more than 60 years, it has developed into one of the world’s most recognized centers.

BLCU offers a wide range of programs for international and domestic students, from undergraduate to doctoral degrees. These include Chinese language and literature, international Chinese education, translation and interpreting, linguistics, foreign languages, and multidisciplinary fields. The university is also known for intensive Chinese language training and specialized cultural courses.
