Description
Chongqing University, one of the designated universities, welcomes outstanding international students from “Belt and Road” countries to pursue Master’s or Ph.D. degrees under this program.
Benefits
The scholarship covers tuition, accommodation, stipend, and comprehensive medical insurance.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be non‑Chinese citizens from the listed countries, in good physical and mental health, with excellent academic background, professional competence and development potential.
- Applicants for a Master degree must hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and be under 35 years old.
- Applicants for a doctoral degree must hold a master’s degree in a relevant field, and be under the age of 40.
- Applicants for English-taught programs whose native language is not English need to provide a score report of English language proficiency test (a score above IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL Internet-based 80 or equivalent), or a certificate from former university that the previous degree program was taught in English, or a certificate indicating the applicants have studied in an English-speaking country for more than one year.
- Applicants for Chinese-taught programs need to provide a valid score report of HSK Level 5 (≥180) , or a certificate proving that the previous degree program was taught in Chinese at a Chinese university.
- Applicants must meet the minimum academic performance requirement, which is a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or a score of at least 80 out of 100.
- Applicants should not be holding any other scholarships.
