Founded in 1914, and famous for its forward-thinking approach, Staffordshire University has become a figurehead for its vocational and academic teaching, innovative grasp of industry, and student employability.
Although our campus continues to expand to create dynamic opportunities, we are proud of our heritage in the great city of Stoke-on-Trent.
Our university is divided into six academic departments, known as schools:
We have a thriving research environment, with areas of established internationally recognised expertise. Our research tackles issues that support the needs of international partners, national governments, and regional and local organisations.
We provide leading research and expertise in the following areas:
Graduates who've secured relevant work experience alongside their study are more likely to get the job they want. That’s why we guarantee the opportunity of work experience for all on-campus, full time undergraduate students.
Work experience may be closely linked to your course, or you could choose a broader experience outside of your studies to develop your employability skills.
Our commitment aims to give students the best possible mix of knowledge and experience, so that by the time you graduate, you're already standing out from the crowd.
The Student Hub is home to a wide range of student support facilities that have previously been located across our Stoke-on-Trent campus. The Student Hub is also home to our Information, Support and Wellbeing services.
At the Student Hub, you'll be able to access the Student Information Team, Student and Wellbeing Support and the Careers and Personal Development Team. This ensures that our students have access to all the University’s student support services in one place. The teams are dedicated to providing information and support and can consult students on thesis submissions, visa checks, ID cards, CVs, careers advice and much more.
