Our mission is to qualify, socialize and prepare students for their future professional practice and citizenship.

History

Our educational institution is the result of numerous mergers and significant growth in student numbers. Only in this way do you go from 20 independent educational institutions to 1 HAN in over 10 years. The government and the Netherlands Association of Universities of Applied Sciences believed that many schools were too small to organize their education properly.

Education

HAN offers high-quality, practice-based education to more than 30,000 students. HAN’s centres of expertise provide tailored research to companies and institutions.

Research

Practice-based research at HAN University of Applied Sciences is multidisciplinary and relates to themes from the professional world. We share and develop knowledge in the professional field as well as extract knowledge from the professional field. This exchange acts as a catalyst for the development of our education.
