Founded in 1999, the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy is an international, not-for-profit, non-governmental organization with headquarters in Berlin, Germany and the USA. The ICD´s ultimate goal is to promote global peace and stability by strengthening and supporting intercultural relations at all levels.
The Center for Cultural Diplomacy Studies offers educational and academic programs in partnership with leading universities, enabling students to explore, analyze and experience cultural diplomacy both in theory and in practice. The CCDS focuses in particular on exploring the balancing between hard and soft power, the process of globalization in an interdependent world, international economics & business multiculturalism, intercultural dialogue & exchange, human rights, religion. As a whole, they investigate the ability for culturally based initiatives to further mutual understanding and in turn to foster global peace and stability.
The major objectives of the ICD are to extend current research, programs and practices in the field of cultural diplomacy and create a platform to promote and sustain inter-cultural dialogue at all levels. Professional Development training Program - During the Professional Developmenttraining program, students will be able to create and implement their own events and programs on Cultural Diplomacy. This professional experience will allow students the opportunity to immediately apply the knowledge they have gained in the in the professional world. This also provides valuable relevant professional experience, contacts and relationships that can assist students in preparing for their future careers..

Finding somewhere to live is usually at the top of the list of priorities for new students and can be the cause of lots of unnecessary stress and concern. University ResidencesA limited number of places are reserved for students at the University Residences owned by the Azienda Regionale per il Diritto allo Studio (Regional Office for the Right to Higher Education). Almost all of the rooms are twin rooms with 2 beds. The International Office allocates the rooms on a first come, first served basis and once allocated the office will contact students providing an accommodation proposal and giving instructions on how to confirm the reservation.

The CCDS Degree Programs operate under a joint partnership between the Academy for Cultural Diplomacy and leading European universities. The Degrees are all awarded by the Universities, which are recognized as fully accredited institutions of higher education with the right to award university degrees, are part of the Bologna Process set in place by the European Commission.
