There are a range of awards which include:
Two D W D Shaw Scholarship awards which provide full tuition fees and an annual stipend.
A number of fully funded tuition fee awards
A number of awards at 50% of tuition fees
Tuition fee awards will automatically be deducted from your tuition fee.
These awards will be tenable for the prescribed period of study (36 months full-time/72 months part-time).
All scholarship award holders are expected to be energetic members of our postgraduate community and will engage with opportunities to present their work to the wider student and staff body during the period covered by their award.
Eligibility
- The scholarships will be awarded to new applicants who have applied for admission to a PhD degree programme of study at the University commencing in September.
- Applicants must have a UK first class or 2:1 honours degree at undergraduate level with a mark of at least 65% in a relevant subject, and typically a specialist masters degree with a high level of attainment (at least 67% in both coursework and dissertation), or their international equivalents.
- Applications will be considered from UK/Overseas applicants wishing to study on-campus full-time/part-time/online distance learning programmes.
- Applicants must be of outstanding academic merit and research potential.
