Students can select to be considered for the STEM Supplemental Award through the Gilman application.

Benefits

In support of the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022, the Gilman Program is providing supplemental awards of up to $1,000 each for a Gilman scholar to conduct STEM-related research abroad as part of their study abroad or international internship program. 

Eligibility

  • Students applying for this supplemental award will need to share additional details (no more than 1,000 characters) about STEM research associated with their study abroad program and its contribution to their future academic and/or career goals.
  • They will also include their anticipated research costs as part of their estimated total cost.
