About

The Organisation research programme at Erasmus University Rotterdam aims to develop and test fundamental theory in applied organisational research. It covers issues from the micro to the macro level of analysis.

Overview

About the PhD Positions (Job Description)

The Organisation research programme at Erasmus University Rotterdamhas two “centres of gravity” that provide focus and visibility to the programme’s research efforts: Organisational Behaviour, and Value-Based Organising. Both centres have a distinct focus, but also actively search for overlapping and interdisciplinary areas of research.

Key facts

Exploring issues from the micro to the macro level of analysis, the focus of ERIM’s internationally recognised Organisation programme is on the development and testing of fundamental theory in the area of applied organisational research.

Taking the perspective that people shape the internal organisation of companies, help define the relationships organisations have with their stakeholders and society at large, and are crucial to successful, ethical, and sustainable organisational performance, these aspects are at the very heart of the Organisation programme’s activities, which takes a behavioural approach towards most research questions.

Programme Structure

ERIM currently offers the following PhD projects within its ORG research programme:

  • PhD in Organization Theory
  • Open PhD project in Value Based Organizing: Acting on unprecedented change
  • UNICA. Building a Unified theory for the development and resilience of Institutions for Collective Action for Europe in the past millennium (2 PhD positions)
