
Overview
This Mathematics doctoral course from Universidade de Aveiro is in line with the requirements of Bolonha model adopted by the University of Aveiro.
The ongoing Ph.D. research projects of DPMat-UA are distributed by the following specializations:

- Algorithms and Computability;
- Complex and Hypercomplex Analysis;
- Functional Analysis and and Applications;
- Optimization, Graph Theory and Combinatorics;
- Probability and Statistics;
- Systems and Control.
The training offered by DPMat-UA covers different areas, from pure to applied mathematics, and aims the Ph.D. graduation for research activities and for teaching activities in universities, polytechnics schools colleges and also for the development of highly qualified activities in companies.
This thesis must contain original results contributing to the widening of the frontiers of knowledge and scientific development of mathematics , demonstrating the capacity for conducting autonomous research work and revealing the ability to synthesis as well as for communication of results and scientific culture in mathematics.
