Overview
Theory and Structures of Buildings from Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava prepares students to master scientific research and development methods for building structures and the technological aspects of the development of the environment of buildings, and they understand the principles of individual and team scientific work. They are aware of the social, ethical, environmental, legal and economic aspects of scientific work and of the need for continuing professional development. They are able to find new solutions in the field of the technology of architecture and formulate and present their contributions to this field of study and to practical building and architectural sectors.
Careers
Students can be employed as members or leaders of creative research teams in our country as well as in the European labour market and as independent scientists at universities, research and development units. They can work in the public and private sectors, state administrations, design, development and contractor organizations and wherever there is need for highly qualified expert work in the building sector.

- Signed curriculum vitae
- Certified Master diploma, with a verification of a state exam and a diploma supplement (NOT for students of STU who completed their studies in the current academic year)
- List of published vocational and scientific (artistic) works
- Framework project to dissertation topic
- Transcript of records of all passed exams from previous studies (Bachelor and Master degree)
- Confirmation of the payment of the application fee
- Applicants for English-language study will enclose to the application a language certificate (TOEFL, IELTS).
