Overview
This Electrochemistry - Science and Technology programme offered by Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona focuses on electrochemistry as a key discipline across science and engineering, supporting research in areas such as energy storage, sensors, materials, and environmental technologies. It enables investigation of processes with strong relevance to both academic research and industrial applications.
Key Facts
The academic environment is based on collaboration between multiple universities and research groups, providing access to leading expertise and diverse research lines. Candidates engage with topics including electrocatalysis, molecular and nanochemical processes, analytical methods, and material development, contributing to advancements in technologies such as batteries, biosensors, and wastewater treatment.
Each candidate is assigned a thesis director responsible for guiding the research project, ensuring its originality, coherence, and alignment with established research directions. Supervision includes advising on experimental and theoretical approaches, monitoring progress, facilitating access to research networks, and supporting thesis preparation and completion, with opportunities for collaboration across institutions.
