- The Donders Graduate School provides a tailor-made training programme at the highest international level. The first step is to set up a Training and Supervision Plan (TSP) with the aim of developing both research and personal skills.
Programme Structure
Curriculum:
- All PhD candidates within the Donders Graduate School are assigned to a confidant at the beginning of their PhD project.
- The main role of this confidant is to act as a first line of support for the PhD candidate. In addition to the confidants we also offer peercoaching for all of our employees.

General requirements
- Part of your registration is the evaluation of your diploma(s) that give access to your PhD track. If you have obtained a diploma from previous education abroad, it will first be checked during the registration process whether these diplomas meet the admission requirements. You will be asked to upload a copy of your foreign diploma during registration.
- You need a Master's degree or a comparable diploma to be able to obtain a PhD.
Tuition Fee
External PhD candidates are self-funded. This means that external PhD candidates must support themselves financially during their PhD trajectory.
Living costs for Nijmegen
The living costs include the total expenses per month, covering accommodation, public transportation, utilities (electricity, internet), books and groceries.
