Overview
About the programme
The Department of Economics at the University of Sheffield has an international reputation for practical and real-world economics. We are a leading research department in a Russell Group University, and our academic staff are among the top economic experts in their field.
The department has strong links with the various UK Government Departments and International Organisations. We also enjoy a strong collaboration with the local community.
The department is a lively, multicultural community of researchers across several fields of economics. PhD students actively participate to the life of the Department; as a student, you will be involved in seminars and workshops organised by the Department.
This will allow you to be exposed to new ideas in your area of research and across the various fields of the discipline and you will be able to interact with researchers outside the department.
