The schools from Instituto Superior Técnico involved in this Climate Change and Sustainable Development Policies programme are the Instituto Superior Técnico and the Instituto Superior de Agronomia.
The program focus is the engineering domain with strong links to economics, law, policy and ethics.
The aim of the program is to train experts who will be able to actively contribute to the design and implementation of new strategies and policies which may ensure a sustained development during the XXI century in the framework of growing risks arising from climate change.
Holders of the PhD may find work opportunities in the public administration at the national, regional or local level, in water and energy utilities as well as in teaching and research organizations
This programme may require students to demonstrate proficiency in English.
