Técnico Lisboa seeks to provide all foreign students spending a period of studies at our college with assistance in finding accommodation.Every year there is a limited number of rooms available for mobility students at the university halls of residence. Since this number is far below the amount of requests, Técnico Lisboa cannot guarantee that you will get this type of accommodation. Instituto Superior Técnico offers three accommodation units: the Residência de Estudantes Eng.º Duarte Pacheco (at Parque das Nações), the Residência Universitária Baldaques (at Taguspark campus) and the Residência de Estudantes Prof. Ramôa Ribeiro (near Arroios but is only for PhD students and professors). The facilities at the EU partners also include services like clinical medicine, dentist, gynaecology, mental health and vaccinations and are available on presentation of a current student's card which covers international students as well - and payment of a small fee, or in some cases free.
IST is located in the city of Lisbon, one of the oldest and most beautiful capitals in the world.

Culture and sports play a vital role in the EU universities life, therefore extending university life beyond education. Activities like cinema, theatre, music, painting and academic journalism, photography, radio broadcasting are currently offered, among other activities. IST has the necessary infrastructure for sports such as basketball, football, handball, volleyball and rugby, among many others.
