About the program
The Doctoral School in Biology and Health Sciences at the University of Lille provides a stimulating academic environment for advanced multi-disciplinary training in basic biological and biomedical research, applied clinical research, medically-related technological innovations and Public Health research.
A doctorate is based on the realization of an academic research project. Multi-disciplinary researches complement each other, and integrate basic research on biochemistry, genetics, molecular and cellular biology, to investigate the great integrated functions of the organism and their pathologies with the support of information technologies (biostatistics, modeling, and imaging) and finalize in patient-to-patient approaches.

General requirements
- The applicants for a grant are allowed to register provided they obtained a Master’s degree oriented on research (or equivalent) with a final ranking situated in the upper two-thirds of the graduating class (or a grade equivalent to 13/20).
- Supply a certificate mentioning the grade, the ranking and the number of people who obtained the Master’s degree.
- Candidates whose degree qualification are still pending can take part in the selection and will be admitted conditionally.
- The applicant will supply all the useful pieces of information enabling the committee to estimate the’ research’ qualities and features (period, place, subject, report, master’s thesis etc.) in the case the research orientation does not appear explicitly in the wording of the Master’s degree.
