About the programme
From theory and practice in wellbeing to the challenges of social work practice in safeguarding, mental health, adoption and reflective practice to the exploration of extraordinary childhoods, digital childhoods and emotional lives – you’ll work with experts in their fields in a vibrant interdisciplinary research community. This PhD in Social Work and Social Care is offered at the University of Sussex.

- Centre for Innovation and Research in Childhood and Youth (jointly hosted by the Department of Education and the Department of Social Work and Social Care)

- Your qualification should be in Social Research Methods or in a relevant subject area which includes significant research methods training. You may also be considered for the degree if you have other professional qualifications or experience of equivalent standing.
