About the programme
A PhD in Gaelic and Celtic Studies at the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) provides students with an opportunity to undertake research at a professional level in the fields of Gaelic and Celtic Studies, enabling them to pursue their scholarly interests and to develop their skills in formal academic writing, analysis and communication through the medium of Gaelic.

- A master’s degree at postgraduate level of a University in the United Kingdom or equivalent, or
- A first or upper second class honours degree of a University in the United Kingdom or equivalent, or
