Overview
About the program
Students of our Physical Engineering program from Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava will:
- knowledge and overview on scientific methods and techniques used in Physical Engineering with emphasis on spectroscopic techniques and computer simulations of physical processes and phenomena in various materials and physical fields; knowledge and overview on relations within the field of Physical Engineering;
- knowledge and overview on realted and supported fields with links to education, science, research and industry; can define and identify theoretical background and basis for physical processes in various materials with orientation to material properties and internal phenomena; can describe physical processes in various environment and materials using appropriate and corresponding mathematical means and instruments and mathematical and physical models suitable for IT-implementation;
- can explain and understands causal relations between phenomena, processes, properties and structural characteristics of materials;
- with his/her results and original findings and results published in top-ranked international peer-revievew papers and juornal clearly contributes to innovations in the given field of Physical Engineering and brings new findings compared to the existing state-of-the-art in the field;
Careers
Graduates find positions in different branches of material research, aplied physics and applications of top technologies in Slovakia as well as abroad. In the academic sphere, the graduates find jobs and positions in scientific institutes, research centers and university laboratories, again in Slovakia as well as abroad.
