About the program
The Spatial Planning program from Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava also includes knowledge and skills to ensure activities, from assessing the challenges, conditions, problems and potentials of development and territorial capital, through the formulation of development goals, development of strategic and operational plans, coordination of spatially relevant sectoral planning activities to management of integrated development strategies and plans in a system of socio-economic, landscape and spatial planning, transport infrastructure planning, smart rural and urban development and a system of monitoring and information on the territory.
Special attention is paid to the preparation of graduates for moderating the processes of social participation and mediation of conflicts of subjects of spatial development.
The graduate masters the scientific methods of inventory, analysis, evaluation and purposeful guidance of processes in social ecosystems of the landscape, including the area of settlements in terms of landscape ecological, socio-economic, historical development, technical, psychosocial, technical-infrastructural and other aspects.
Careers
The data obtained from the portal https://uplatnenie.sk/ on graduates of the 3rd level of the Department of Spatial Planning clearly show that the majority of students were employed in 2019 – 83% and 17% had a contract job, mainly in the Bratislava region.
